The music video portrays a regular walk home, the tension of being close to safety but not quite there yet. It's about that fear that lives in our bodies, not from direct violence, but from the constant possibility of it, that many FLINTA* people experience every day. Safety is never guaranteed, even in the mundane act of getting home.
I’s 2024’s man vs. bear social media phenomenon. But it’s not the actual attack that wears us down, but the potential for it. Past experiences and memories, they stories we see in the news, repeating stories our friends share with us and shape how we move through the world, especially in those critical minutes just before we finally get home.
