"Pracownica" captures the lives of resilient women near the colliery CENTRUM in Bytom, Poland. From the camaraderie of former miner Pani Srocka and her daughter Danuscha to the pragmatic Jaga and fearless Jadzia, the film weaves a narrative of shared struggles and resilience against the coal-shaped backdrop of their lives. As these women unfold their stories, "Pracownica" becomes a representation of a time when women defined themselves through their husbands' professions, while portraying the housing block as a protagonist itself, exploring working class stories through the stoic humor of its elderly residents.
